The Hull
The Prestige 900 model has cutting-edge stepped hull design from the world-famous designer Ocke Mannerfelt that will give anyone the possibility to drive fast yet safe at high speeds in both flat and rough waters.
This innovative design produces an aeration effect at the hull/water interface. Two pairs of transverse steps mix air with water under the hull to produce a layer of bubbles. Riding on bubbles, like riding on ball bearings, greatly reduces friction. Less friction equals less drag making the boat super fast, smooth and very stable. Because of this unique design the wetted area of the hull is reduced and the boat planes quickly even under heavy payloads or in rough waters. Reduced fuel consumption is also a great economical advantage.
The Ballistic Ribs are very practical and safe and probably the driest ride on the Rib-market. Ideal Rib for families, yet the perfect ride for whatever adventure you want to take yourself on. They have exceptional handling characteristics. With the high-performance deep Vee hull they are made for both pleasure and high speed.
The GRP hull production is carried out in a specially controlled environment. Each production process has its own dedicated bay. This ensures rigid quality control at every step and guarantees consistency of product.
The hulls are built to the highest specifications using top quality materials and finished to exacting standards. The multi-layered woven fabric reinforced hulls benefit from a combination of brush and hand laying techniques, integral stringers overlaid with both chop strand and woven combination matts. These overlays extend out across the bottom of the hull forming extra reinforcement at all critical areas.
The stringer system has been calculated to maintain maximum strength, rigidity and hull integrity under load without increasing weight. The series benefit from extensive use of Isopthalic resins in the manufacturing process, giving a stronger inter-laminar bond, with increased resistance to water ingress.
The Tubes
The fabric used is Hypalon®, produced by Pennel&Flipo in France. Because of the strength, UV resistance and exceptional hardwearing qualities, the Hypalon fabric is universally accepted by the industry as the premier tube material.
Prestige tubes are hand-built by craftsmen in a controlled environment and to the same exceptional standard as the hulls and decks. Quality is paramount and every seam and join is inspected during the construction process.
